Ok racers, please see the following KDR MEMBERS POINTS PROGRAM RULES. Memberships will be accepted by mail or at the March meeting. Points will start when the first race of the season is run. The first night is usually kayos\', so please try to join before the first night. Memberships will be taken before the first round if you cannot join beforehand. There may not be an April meeting. Hope to see you at the March meeting...More on that later. Thank you!!
KDR MEMBER POINTS PROGRAM RULES
2010 RACE SEASON
1. YOU MUST BE A FULL MEMBER OF KDR IN GOOD STANDINGS THROUGHOUT THE RACE SEASON. IF YOUR MEMBERSHIP EXPIRES ANYTIME DURING THE SEASON, YOUR POINTS WILL CEASE UNTIL DUES ARE PAID.
2. POINTS WILL BE AWARED AS FOLLOWS:
WINNER 5 POINTS
RUNNER-UP 3 POINTS
SEMIS 1 POINT
JUNIOR DRAGSTER POINTS AS FOLLOWS:
WINNER 5 POINTS
RUNNER-UP 3 POINTS
JUNIOR DRAGSTER PARENTS MUST BE A MEMBER OF KDR TO BE ELIBIBLE FOR POINTS.
3. KDR POINTS PURSE AS FOLLOWS:
WINNER $600.00
RUNNER-UP $300.00
SEMIS $100.00 EACH
JUNIOR DRAGSTER POINTS PURSE AS FOLLOWS:
WINNER $200.00 (SPLIT $100.00 GIFT CARD..$100.00 SAVINGS BOND)
RUNNER-UP $100.00 (SPLIT $50.00 GIFT CARD..$50.00 SAVINGS BOND)
THE ABOVE POINTS PURSE IS GUARANTEED. SPONSORS WHO DONATE TO THE POINTS FUND WILL BE ADDITIONAL TO THE PURSE. JUNIOR DRAGSTER SPONSOR DONATIONS WILL BE ADDED TO THE GIFT CARDS.
4. POINTS WILL END THAT LAST WEEK IN OCTOBER. THE POINTS PURSE WILL BE AWARDED AT THE KDR BANQUET/DANCE THE FIRST SATURDAY IN DECEMBER.
5. TIE BREAKER - GOES TO THE MEMBER WHO HELD THE POSITION FIRST.
6. POINTS WILL ONLY BE AWARDED WHEN OVD AND US60 AWARD TRACK POINTS.
7. IF YOU RUN MORE THAN ONE CLASS POINTS WILL ONLY BE AWARDED TO THE CLASS WHICH YOU ACQUIRED THE MOST POINTS.
8. SINGLE POINTS ONLY WILL BE AWARDED!
9. ANY QUESTIONS/CONCERNS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO KDR OFFICERS ONLY!!! If a race is rained out before completion, points will not accumulate, unless the class you are running was completed. Jrs must have a winner and runner-up..
10. KDR OFFICERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO EDIT, UPDATE, OR DELETE ANY OF THE ABOVE WITH KDR MEMBERS APPROVAL. YOU MUST HAVE FUN, BE SAFE AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

Just as a thought, have you guys considered keeping the points seperate by track and going with local champs per track and then a KDRA Grand Champion. It doesn't matter much to me, I will probably keep my same schedule and hope for the best at the Valley. I just noticed alot of crying on the Valley site about "fairness". Just my two cents (actually I only have one cent, Michael can I borrow the other cent? )

Allan that is a thought, but ithink it will still be the same result, if you have someone like Mark Gellhaus dominate as he was late last year in the semi or finals alot he could win by running just one track, we can bring it up at the next meeting, now theres your other cent, he he, see ya Last edited on Tue Feb 16th, 2010 06:27 pm by michael brewer

Remember guys, this is a "MEMBERS" points program... We are together as one, and do not want to separate tracks... not enough points given or positions to gain these points. Alan, you should have attended a meeting with your questions... would have been something more to discuss..We have to go with the members that voted. The program has been voted on and this will be the test of how it will work....Next year is another story,.if this proves to be a good thing (personally i think its an awesome thing),then maybe we can possibly regroup and make it bigger and better. As you know,there is room for improvement with any new venture...Thanks
